Hot Spring Eftalou
The volcanic origin of the Island has left a very precious heritage - hot and healing mineral springs.
The hot spring of Eftalou is only a few kilometers away from Molyvos. The spring water has a temperature of approx. 43 degrees Celsius, 110 Fahrenheit. The spring is located at the beach, in a 400-year-old domed room right by the sea. You can enjoy the healing water in a basin made of natural stone. The water contains radium, chloride and sodium among other minerals. A bath is highly recommended for visitors suffering from rheumatism, arthritis and neuralgia.
In 2025 the Hot Spring area is going to be renovated, and might be closed for some time, but Lesvos has several hot springs, which are nice to visit on excursions.
